Costs

We charge a fee (called subscriptions or subs) to cover the costs of running regular meetings. This covers venue hire, insurances, materials for activities and the badges that we award to the young people. There are sometimes extra charges for special activities like camps, sleepovers and other events.

Subs are collected every month (even during the summer) as this makes collection easier and helps you to budget. We prefer to collect subs by direct debit. You will be given details the current charges and how to set up your payments when your child starts. There is no charge for the first meeting.

We try to keep our subs as low as possible, so that anyone can come to Scouts. We never want anyone to miss out because finances are tricky. If you need help paying subs or paying for a special event, please speak to your leader.
